About the Job
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our longstanding clients that are part of a global network specialising in the production, and distribution of industrial batteries and energy storage solutions.
 
Location: ST5 (Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent)
Job Type: Temp, initially for 3 months, with the potential to be extended for the right candidate.  
Pay rate: £13.91 per hour.
Hours: Monday to Thursday (08:00 to 16:30) Friday (08:00 to 15:00) – 39 hours a week standard, with the possibility of overtime through the week and on the weekend paid at T1/2.
 
The role:
  • Driving between client/customer sites, using the company van.
  • Carry out routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of industrial batteries in MHE.
  • Carried out visual inspections and completed basic repairs, showcasing hands-on experience with fault diagnosis and repair.
  • Maintained high standards of quality and customer service in the day-to-day role.
  • Perform routine service and maintenance, including cleaning and fluid top-ups, on a variety of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) batteries and chargers.
  • Comply with relevant UK standards and adhere to quality requirements.

 
Requirements:
  • Some mechanical knowledge or experience is required.  
  • Must have a valid UK driving license and comfortable driving a van.
