About the Job
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Liverpool area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:30 am start 

Pay Rates: £16.36 per hour PAYE with overtime at £24.52 after 40 hours. 

Location: Liverpool, L11 2BD 

Start Date: 31.07.2026 

Job Type: Ongoing

The role:
  • Collect parcels from well-known customers, including full trailer collections and deliveries. 
  • Manual handling is heavily involved, and drivers will assist with loading and unloading of parcels at the depot and customer locations. 
  • Handling devices and company software to update delivery status and communicating with the depot. 
  • Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision, including shunting duties when required.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
  • · Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
  • Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:
  • 12 months experience required.
  • Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
  • Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A safety-first mindset.
