About the Job
The Recruitment Crowd is currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Preston area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers to join the team on nights.
Shifts: 5 days per week (shifts run across Monday - Sunday)
Start Times: Start times vary between 19:30 and 21:30 pm
Pay Rate:
- £17.24 per hour PAYE (6 am to 10 pm)
- £18.25 per hour PAYE (10 pm to 6 am)
Location: Preston, PR2
Job Type: Ongoing
The role:
- Trunking - Performing trunk runs to the hub.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
- Valid and up-to-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- 6 months minimum experience required
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
