About the Job
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting experienced Shunter Drivers to join our team in Coventry CV8.

We are currently looking for PM ad-hoc Shunters for Mondays and full-time Shunters to work Monday to Friday nights.
Assessments Available ASAP!

Hours:
PM Ad-Hoc Shunters:
  • Mondays only
  • Start times between 19:00 and 22:00
Full-Time Shunters:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 22:00 to 06:00
Pay Rates:
  • £18.50 between 06:00–22:00
  • £20.00 between 22:00–06:00
  • £25.00 weekend rate

Location: Coventry, CV8

The Role:
  • Shunting trailers within the yard – 40–100 moves per shift.
  • Yard manoeuvring and reversing with confidence and accuracy.
  • Communicating effectively with transport and logistics teams.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 months’ shunting driving experience
  • Full UK Class 1 licence (C+E).
  • Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only).
  • Successful completion of assessment (theory and practical).
  • Strong communication skills and a safety-first attitude.
