HGV Driver - Days

About the Job
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Exeter area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 or 2  Drivers to join the team.

Shifts: Typically Monday to Friday 
Hours: 8am start typically, average of 10-12 hour shifts 
Pay Rate: £15.36 per hour PAYE
Location: Exeter, EX5
Job Type: Ongoing 

The role:
  • Securely moving and transporting premium and high value goods (parcels) to sub-depots or collecting them from delivery units.
  • Multi-drop delivery - average of 15- 20 drops/collections.
  • Drivers will be required to load and unload the roll cages using tail lift and pump truck.
  • Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork throughout shift.
  • Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
  • Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:
  • Full UK driving licence with Class 1 OR 2 entitlement.
  • Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • 6 months minimum experience required.
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A safety-first mindset.
