We are currently hiring MIG/TIG Welders to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment and responsible for performing high-quality welds, using MIG and TIG techniques, to fabricate and assemble metal components.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm

Rate: £15.19

Location: Lye, DY9

Key Responsibilities:

Execute precise MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials, including mild and hard steel.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment efficiently.
Assist in the assembly of components, ensuring proper fit and finish according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Responsible for the completion of a wide range of fabrications to time to meet powder coating schedules/production requirements.
Welding mild and hard steel ranging from 2.5mm to 20mm.
Ensuring tooling, jigs and fixtures are fit for purpose and meet production requirements to produce components to the required standard.
Responsible for the manufacture of fabrications to drawings or customer requirements.
Any other reasonable duties in the welding area.

Requirements:

Reliability and good communication skills.
Able to use hand tools.
Experienced MIG/TIG Welder.
Must be confident carrying out fillet welds on various types of steel and tube.
Ability to read technical drawings.
IT literate.
Ability to troubleshoot.
