The Recruitment Crowd is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our longstanding clients that is part of a global network specialising in the production and distribution of industrial batteries and energy storage solutions.

Location: ST5 (Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent)

Job Type: Temp ongoing, with the possibility to lead to a permanent contract for the right candidate.

Pay rate: £13.20 per hour.

Hours: Monday to Thursday (08:00 to 16:30) Friday (08:00 to 15:00) – 39 hours a week standard, with the possibility of overtime through the week and on the weekend, paid at T1/2.

The role:

Overhauling / reconditioning of railway battery systems.
Assist in fault-finding, troubleshooting, and minor repair work on products.
Assembly, wiring, and connections of electrical equipment and railway battery systems.
Picking orders to be sent out.
Using a reach truck as and when required to replenish stock.
Working within a team to achieve the required orders.
Carry out training/upskilling on relevant procedures and areas.
Using a variety of different tools.
Occasionally, using the company van to drive to sites and deliver parts needed for engineers
Comply with relevant UK standards and adhere to quality requirements.
Keep a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.

Requirements:

Must have an accredited reach truck license, dated within the last 3 years.
Must have a valid UK driving license.
